Anthony Robinson is a published writer of children’s non-fiction and English Language Teaching materials. He is particularly interested in comparing and contrasting real children’s lives, be they refugees who have fled their own countries or children living normal lives in vastly different cultures.

The image is taken from Gervelie’s Journey, Book 1 of a four book series of 32 page illustrated memoirs of refugee children, to be published by Frances Lincoln, 2008 – 2009. The other three titles are Mohammed’s Journey, Gabriela’s Journey, and Hamzat’s Journey.

Projects in progress include Children of the River – a series chronicling the daily lives of children living on the Mekong River between Thailand and Laos; a follow up series, Children of the Sands, is also planned. Anthony is also researching a book on the foods of Laos.
