Anna Nilsen has done a wide range of novelty books and works out her own paper engineering. Anna has done books for children from six months to teenagers. People Peepers was nominated for The Sheffield Baby Book Award. Her books employ a wide range of novelty elements, including some more unusual features like plastic petrol pumps for filling up the illustrated vehicles, and pop-apart books which act as a toy and a counting book. Anna loves doing interactive books combining fun with an educational element. She has won several International Awards, including a Parent’s Guide to Media Award for her older novelty book, Art Fraud Detective, and it was also nominated for a Blue Peter Award. This book was developed for the National Gallery of London to their brief to create an art book with a difference.
