Anna Nilsen’s work covers a wide range of subject matter and formats, from fiction to education, from fact to fantasy, from picture books to novelties, CD ROMs, card games and jigsaw puzzles. Sometimes, she simply devises the concept, writes or visualises the content, but more often Anna writes and illustrates. She does undertake illustration commissions if the briefs appeal. Anna is known for her thorough research for non-fiction books and has focused on natural history, art, and history, but she also enjoys making visual jokes for children when given the opportunity. Anna Nilsen has now published over 100 books and sold over 4 million books in over two dozen countries.
